We have developed an AI model capable of real-time (non-stop) detection of the appearance inspection of painted products, which was not achievable with conventional image processing technologies. In addition to AI, we have developed a shooting system composed of an optical unit that can be mounted on robots, and we are currently developing an inspection system called "SURF-AI," which integrates an image processing device equipped with the AI painting defect detection model. We will be showcasing a prototype demo unit at the 5th Smart Factory Expo Nagoya, which will be held from Wednesday, October 26, 2022.
