The Drystar FR936 is a lead-free bearing that can be used without lubrication. It has excellent self-lubricating properties, so pre-lubrication and oil splash lubrication are not necessary. This bearing improves self-lubrication and wear resistance by adding a mixture of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), which has a low friction coefficient among all materials, and special fillers. The amount of wear after the bearing has settled is influenced by the load on the bearing and the speed of the shaft. The wear of the bearing increases almost proportionally to the product of the surface pressure P (MPa) on the bearing and the speed V (m/min) of the shaft.
