We would like to introduce a case of barrel polishing conducted by Nishimura Giken Co., Ltd. The gas stove component that supports the heating container, known as "gotoku." The customer's specifications regarding the safety of the edges and sharp parts of the gotoku were abstract, stating that "housewives should be able to touch it with wet hands without getting cut." In response to this challenge, our company used projectors and microscopes to numerically present the rounding dimensions (R dimensions) of the edges and sharp parts processed by polishing. In addition to being able to evaluate objectively, we consistently perform high-quality processing with strict processing procedures to ensure uniformity. Of course, we received high praise from our customers. On our website, we also showcase cases of barrel polishing for "stainless steel vintage trays for bakeries" and "sprockets for motorcycle racing." *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationThis is an introduction to a case where the removal of a black discoloration layer was performed. We received an inquiry from another barrel polishing company stating, "We had barrel polishing done, and while the burrs were removed, the surface of the item was discolored black compared to before the polishing. We cannot deliver it to the customer in this condition, so is there any way to restore the material's color?" We performed barrel polishing at our company to remove the black discoloration layer and returned it to the original material color. Depending on the type and amount of oil on the raw material before barrel polishing, as well as the polishing conditions, dirt can sometimes adhere to the surface. This issue can be resolved by oil removal (degreasing) and optimizing processing conditions. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationBarrel polishing is a very suitable polishing technique for rounding the edges of machine parts and metal components. It is evaluated based on three factors: surface roughness, glossiness, and surface color, with customer requests such as "smoother," "shinier," and "whiter." While surface roughness and corner radius are specified in the drawings, requests regarding glossiness and color are mostly expressed in abstract terms. The surface texture, or the shape of the surface irregularities, varies depending on the processing conditions and polishing materials used in our company. Since we do not have color difference meters or gloss meters, the evaluation is based on visual inspection rather than numerical values. However, we strive to respond to customer requests as much as possible by clarifying the differences in surface conditions using magnified images from a microscope. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.*

Free membership registrationNishimura Giken Co., Ltd. conducts polishing processes such as "R attachment and chamfering." The specified R value tolerance is approximately ±0.05mm (with a range of 0.1mm). If the required processing accuracy can be measured, it is possible to process at the designed target value, and products processed based on the specified values you provide will be inspected and managed using our inspection equipment. Additionally, the tolerance is approximately ±0.1. For general processing, we can accommodate the above tolerances. We will strive to meet your required tolerances as much as possible after detailed discussions. 【Features】 ■ R value specification: approximately ±0.05mm (with a range of 0.1mm) ■ Tolerance: approximately ±0.1 ■ If the required processing accuracy can be measured, processing at the designed target value is possible. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationHere is a case study of fine burr removal from precision parts. We received a request for burr removal from a precision press-cut plate with a thickness of 0.3mm, featuring a φ5.5 hole at the center of a 17x17 square. The burr around the φ5.5 hole measured 4 to 5μm in height. If stacked as is, the hole area would slightly bulge, resulting in an uneven height and failing to achieve the desired characteristics. Therefore, we removed only the burr without causing warping or distortion, and without scratching the flat surface. Additionally, we were able to remove large burrs caused by die chipping in the same plate, measuring 520μm in width, 65μm in depth, and 15μm in height, by matching the media and processing conditions. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
