Free membership registrationDry plating (vacuum plating) is a method where, after applying a coating to the target object, metal pieces (such as aluminum, chrome, etc.) are vapor-deposited in a vacuum deposition device (where metal pieces are electrically dissolved and plated in a vacuum state). 【Advantages】 - Enhances aesthetic appeal - Produces a glossy finish (such as mirror-like shine) - Can impart a metallic appearance to non-metallic materials - Achieves vibrant colors - Compared to metal and resin plating, vacuum plating can accommodate a wider range of materials The disadvantage is that due to the many pre-treatment processes, it may not be suitable for mass production. We would appreciate the opportunity to discuss this with you. ★ It is used for various applications such as forming thin films or special films, and plating on non-metals, so our company performs plating processing on everyday items. Please take a look at other pages as well. *For more details, please download the catalog or contact us.

Free membership registrationOne of the products we have previously coated is this classic car that looks like it could start moving at any moment. We have experience in applying plating to Gunpla as well. Many of the items we coat are done so out of a sense of playfulness, and Gunpla is one of them. The Gunpla "Sazabi" shown in this image is actually displayed at the entrance of our office. As a result, we have received many positive comments and requests for sale from customers who visit our company. *For more details, please feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationThe other day, while having a BBQ, I had a spark of curiosity and playfulness, wondering if coating seashells with metal would make them interesting, and I actually went ahead with the processing. I believe the result has a unique texture while also presenting an interesting flavor. Also, if someone were to ask what comes to mind when thinking of the mallet of luck or sea bream, what would you first think of? ⇒ It would likely be related to the Seven Lucky Gods, prosperity in business, or money. We have been applying shiny plating to these items, which are said to bring good fortune, since the time of our predecessors. As a result, we are helping to further enhance good luck so that everyone can receive blessings, with a celebratory (sea bream) touch. *For more details, please feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationIntroducing auspicious items that we have processed with plating. (1) Kagami Mochi This is something we processed in a prototype in the past. It is beautifully finished from any angle, and the curved lines of the kagami mochi reflect light, showcasing its color. (2) Origami-style Golden Crane The crane is also a symbol of good fortune, and this one has been processed in a golden color. Depending on the viewing angle, it can appear like origami or an inorganic object, making it an interesting piece. Just displaying it in an entrance or similar area brings good fortune and makes for a piece that never gets boring. *For more details, please feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationMeiwa Vacuum's plating processing can accommodate everything from mass production to single items such as prototypes. We can handle everything from mold creation to injection molding and plating processing in a consistent manner. 【Case Study】 This bell is one of the items we have processed and delivered. As can be seen in the photo, the gloss and sparkle are remarkable, resulting in a wonderful color and texture. Additionally, the gold bell in the back right has undergone a plating process known as "shrinkage." This creates wrinkles on the surface of the bell, transforming its appearance to a rough, luxurious feel. Of course, we can apply various colors and shrinkage treatments to any color at our company. *For more details, please feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationThis is a mannequin made of expanded polystyrene that has undergone plating. As one of our new initiatives, we have been challenging ourselves to apply plating to expanded polystyrene up until today. Since expanded polystyrene deforms with heat, it is difficult to perform vacuum plating on it, but we have successfully completed the process this time, resulting in a plating that is difficult to achieve elsewhere. When we say we apply plating to expanded polystyrene, we are not just making it shiny; we also perform processing that creates textures, as seen in the first photo on the left. As a result, the appearance transforms into a texture resembling carbon or rock, but since it is actually expanded polystyrene, it feels incredibly light when held, creating a sense of illusion for the person holding it. Personally, I believe that the ability to achieve plating on expanded polystyrene (such as shiny and rock textures) like this opens up the advantage of being "heavy in appearance yet lightweight," which can be used in a wide range of environments such as stages and filming sets. *For more details, please feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationThe main difference between dry plating and wet plating is whether or not a water solution is used during the plating process. ▼ Wet Plating The object is immersed in a solution, utilizing electrolysis or chemical reactions to form a coating. ▼ Dry Plating (Vacuum Plating) After initially applying a coating to the object, this plating technique involves evaporating metals or metal oxides in a vacuum state to form a "thin metal film" on the surface of the object. ★ This method is used for various applications, such as forming thin or special films and plating non-metals, so our company performs plating processing using commonly available materials. Please check other pages as well. We are currently offering a document summarizing the advantages and disadvantages of vacuum plating in PDF format. *For more details, please download the catalog or contact us. Meiwa Vacuum Co., Ltd. has nearly half a century of experience. We can provide a consistent response from mold creation to injection molding and plating processing.

Free membership registration"Vacuum plating" refers to a plating technique where, after applying a coating to the object, metals or metal oxides are evaporated in a vacuum state to form a "thin metal film" on the surface of the object. Vacuum plating is also known as deposition plating or vacuum deposition. ■ Coating: "Applying and drying/hardening a resin + pigment" ■ Vacuum plating: "Physically depositing inorganic materials that have been evaporated" Our company widely engages in this process for reflective mirrors, toys, Buddhist implements (crafts), cosmetics, miscellaneous goods, and industrial parts. Free membership registrationAt Meiwa Vacuum, we provide a comprehensive service from mold creation to injection molding, painting, and plating, not to mention plating processing itself. With nearly half a century of experience and high technical skills, we respond to our customers' needs. As part of our new initiative, we have applied plating processing to expanded polystyrene. In addition to the inherent strengths of expanded polystyrene, such as "lightness" and "shock absorption," we expect to elevate it into a new product by changing its appearance and texture. We also process various objects, such as leaves and pasta, so we would be grateful if you could consult with us. For more details, please download our catalog or feel free to contact us.
