Squeeze casting is a casting method that, compared to conventional die casting which uses a horizontal molten metal filling mechanism, employs a vertical filling mechanism to fill the molten metal at low speed from the bottom of the mold. This method minimizes the entrapment of gases and air, thereby reducing the occurrence of casting defects as much as possible. The advantages include the ability to perform welding and heat treatment due to the reduced number of casting defects, making it suitable for products that require high pressure resistance and high strength. This allows for a smaller clearance between the punch and die, resulting in a smooth and beautiful shear surface, and enables the production of high-precision products. By suppressing the occurrence of breakage and achieving a nearly uniformly smooth shear surface, it is possible to cut costs on finishing processes.
