In the trend of rational distribution of powder and granular materials, the necessity of "reducing transportation costs" is recognized. In the current situation where the shipping volume in container bags is increasing, we have developed a new container bag weighing and packing device that utilizes our long-established paper bag packing system technology, focusing on safety, rationality, and workability.

The founding of Nakajima Manufacturing was triggered by the development of a powder pump for pipe transportation. For over 40 years since then, we have accumulated numerous delivery achievements. The new model, which incorporates technological elements developed for packers, has undergone improvements that enhance its compatibility with various types of powders and increase its sanitary features, making it a confident product that meets our customers' demands.

The AMO bag sealing machine automatically attaches adhesive-type valves and seals the bags. The packer and bag feeding machine achieve the automation of the bagging process, and when combined with the sealing machine and conveyors, the automation of the powder packaging system is completed. At AMO, we comprehensively implement the installation of custom sealing lines that meet customer specifications based on factors such as bag shape, flow, required capacity, and conveyor line layout.

AMO's automatic bagging machine has received tremendous support from our customers as it realizes comfortable operation and efficiency. However, in the event of a bagging error, while it automatically stops, it was unable to automatically resume operation with only the detection of an alarm buzzer. As a result, some manual labor was still required in the packaging area, and automation has been a long-standing theme.

The AMO bag feeder is an automatic empty bag supply machine developed specifically for the AMO packer. The automation of the bag set, which was previously done manually by operators, has led to the overall automation of today's bagging and sealing lines. The features of the AMO bag feeder include its compatibility with the AMO packer and its small installation footprint. By adopting a unique method of rotating the bags 90° for setting, it is very compact compared to similar equipment and can be installed utilizing the space on the conveyor belt in front of the packer.

This machine was developed to automatically weigh and fill small bags in the measurement range of 1 to 5 kg with high precision, in a market where there are no best-fit models for conventional powder packaging machines. Our company has a track record of over 3,000 units delivered for valve-type heavy packaging, and we utilize that expertise by adopting a gross weighing method. It is equipped with a weight metric weighing mechanism that does not require a preprocessing device, making it a packer that satisfies both processing capacity and weighing accuracy for packing up to 5 kg. Additionally, by making the bag attachment and detachment semi-automatic for the operator, we have simplified the machine. This also makes cleaning and maintenance easy, enhancing usability.

In the conventional GF-E type packer of our company, the cut gate method caused metal wear at the sliding part, which posed a risk of foreign matter contamination, albeit in very small amounts. However, in this machine, there is no contact with rotating shafts or other components seen in conventional packers, and there is no friction between metals; instead, it employs a mechanism that allows for bagging solely through natural gravity flow. The cutting section adopts a swing method, and by filling with powder or granules, it has a structure that stops the flow using the pressure of the powder itself.

In the transportation method using a screw conveyor, granular products that would be crushed can be efficiently filled by utilizing gravity for dropping. The AMO Gravity Flow system smoothly discharges with a vibrating feeder and boasts exceptional measurement accuracy among similar equipment by controlling the flow rate in two stages with a gate.

It has brought a revolution to the powder bagging work environment, which has traditionally been a harsh physical labor setting filled with dust. The basic structure of the AMO system, which controls two screws and uses a small amount of air, has remained unchanged for the past 40 years and has undergone continuous improvements.
