India BIS Certification: Notice of Postponement of Mandatory Enforcement Date for Machinery Equipment

The mandatory certification regarding machinery and equipment, as notified in S.O. 3649 (E) in August 2024, was initially scheduled to take effect from August 28, 2025. However, in the Ministry of Heavy Industries notification S.O. 2579(E) dated June 12, it has been postponed by one year and is now scheduled to take effect from September 1, 2026. MEE Directive OTR2024: the Machinery and Electrical Equipment Safety (Omnibus Technical Regulation) Order, 2024.
