It is possible to perform fine groove machining with a flat end mill with a blade tip of φ0.15mm. By minimizing the deflection of the tool tip, similar to fine hole machining, and utilizing the machining conditions and CAD/CAM technology developed through experience, cutting can be achieved. As the tool diameter decreases, the cutting resistance on the end mill increases, making tool breakage more likely; however, groove machining is also possible with end mills of φ0.1mm and φ0.05mm (tool diameter: groove depth = 1:1). For more details, please contact us or refer to the catalog.

Free membership registrationThe molds for car lenses have a complex, scale-like shape. Generally, to achieve a clean machined surface, a polishing process by skilled workers is essential after machining. At Unimac Co., even with hardened workpieces that have high hardness, we can cut smoothly without steps caused by cutting marks, achieving a finish close to the final product. This minimizes the polishing process and enables high quality and reduced delivery times. For more details, please contact us or refer to our catalog.

Free membership registrationA plate with a thickness of 90mm has been processed into three pieces using wire cutting. The fit between the pieces is smooth, allowing for a precise "fitting." The clearance between the pieces is 8 microns (0.008mm) in width. By minimizing side remnants and bulging during the wire cutting process, we achieve a smooth sliding condition where the parts do not "bite" against each other. For more details, please contact us or refer to the catalog.

Free membership registrationIn recent years, the mechanical components of industrial products have been trending towards miniaturization and high precision (such as functional parts in digital cameras and mobile phones, etc.). For shapes that are too thin or too deep for general tools, conventional electrodes were used for electrical discharge machining. However, if such parts can be machined using small-diameter end mills, it can lead to a reduction in man-hours. Unimac Co., Ltd. has a track record of machining with small-diameter tools down to R0.05mm (tool diameter φ0.1mm). High-precision and high-quality machining of fine shapes is possible with the Yasuda Industrial high-speed machining center YBM640V. We also excel in marking and engraving processes. We perform machining on a wide range of steel types, including SKD hardened materials (approximately HRC64) and stainless steel, which are known for their toughness. For more details, please contact us or refer to our catalog.

Free membership registrationStainless steel such as SUS304 is known for its toughness, which can make drills prone to chipping. Unimac Co., Ltd. has a track record of processing fine holes down to φ0.15mm. By minimizing the runout of the mounting tool to nearly zero, vibrations during processing are reduced, allowing for precise machining. Additionally, optimal processing conditions extend the lifespan of drill tools, achieving long-term performance. For more details, please contact us or refer to our catalog.
