"Lost wax" refers to the process of creating a prototype using wax, covering it with casting sand or plaster, and then heating it to melt and drain the wax, leaving a cavity that serves as a mold. By pouring high-temperature molten metal into this mold, parts and other items are produced. This process is called "lost wax casting."
