This is an introduction to the processing of aspherical lenses in crystal optics. Until now, we have primarily focused on the production of glass spherical lenses. With our unique polishing technology, we have made it possible to manufacture aspherical lenses. As a result, we can offer a complete in-house process from the procurement of glass materials for aspherical lenses to finishing and polishing. The lenses we produce are utilized in various fields, including space and astronomy. 【Product Example】 ■ Aspherical Cylindrical Lens Surface Shape: Cylindrical Surface + Flat Surface * Cylinder Surface Accuracy (after intermediate polishing) * Cylinder Surface Accuracy (after finishing polishing) Shape Accuracy: 0.6μm PV Shape Accuracy: 0.0027μm PV Surface Roughness: 3nm Sa Surface Roughness: 0.756nm Sa We can also polish aspherical shapes of other special shapes and materials. We can accommodate small lots and prototypes as well. * For more details, please feel free to contact us through our website. https://www.crystal-opt.co.jp/

Free membership registrationOne of the materials that Crystal Optics specializes in processing is "hard metal." This hard material has the disadvantage of being "hard" and "time-consuming to process," but it also has the advantages of being "easy to achieve machine precision" and "able to meet high mirror surface precision requirements." In high-precision parts that require special tools and wear resistance, our company has been involved in the processing of numerous hard materials. Among these, we frequently receive inquiries from many customers regarding "corrosion." This time, we would like to propose a new material in response to the "corrosion" of this hard material. 【Corrosion Resistance Comparison Experiment】 ■ Test 1: A drop of grinding fluid was placed and left overnight (approximately 12 hours) to check the appearance. ■ Test 2: Immersed in liquid for one month to check for corrosion. ■ Test 3: Immersed in a 10% nitric acid solution for 6 hours to compare corrosion depth and corrosion loss. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationCrystal optics enables the production of ultra-large freeform mirrors. Freeform shapes are complex and non-rotationally symmetric surfaces that cannot be represented by simple mathematical formulas, unlike spherical or rotationally symmetric aspheric surfaces. There is a growing demand for precise lenses and mirrors with freeform shapes as components in optical systems for light collection and projection, such as in the fields of astronomy and automotive mirrors. At Crystal Optics, we have determined appropriate processing conditions for these ultra-large freeform shapes and successfully demonstrated the performance of the Nanoform 700 ultra processing machine using slotted tool servo processing, achieving success in areas that even processing machine developers have never experienced.

Free membership registrationCrystal Optics is based on the polishing technology of optical single crystals and has developed ultra-precision polishing across a wide range of applications, including optical communications, metals, ceramics, and other new materials, through the application of crystal polishing techniques. Additionally, we conduct integrated production from upstream (ultra-precision grinding, ultra-precision polishing) to downstream (materials, machining) with just one drawing. [Integrated Production] Cutting, grinding, polishing, ultra-precision processing, surface treatment (electropolishing/passivation treatment), and measurement. ☆ We guarantee high-precision processing with a wide variety of measuring instruments. The polishing targets of Crystal Optics are diverse, covering many advanced fields of various industries, and our customers are characterized by being spread across the entire country. [Main Fields] Semiconductors, LCDs, films, batteries, machine tools, aircraft, measuring instruments, optics, medical, communications. We would like to introduce the main equipment of Crystal Optics, including polishing machines, grinding machines, machining centers, precision CNC lathes, other processing machines, cutting and forming equipment, cleaning equipment, ancillary facilities, and major precision measuring instruments. ◎ For more details, please contact us or refer to our catalog.
