Additionally, inspections can be conducted from above the insulation during plant operations. Continuous digital processing is performed in real-time for accurate evaluation. As a result of the Thru-VU inspection, only areas requiring detailed inspection need to be examined during plant shutdowns, significantly reducing the downtime for inspections and lowering overall inspection costs. Besides corrosion inspection, it can also be used for measuring scale thickness inside pipes and investigating foreign objects. With the advancement of semiconductor sensor performance, inspections can be conducted for gas piping with a diameter of up to 6 meters and for oil and water piping with a diameter of approximately 0.75 meters.
