PortaLite is a portable single-channel NIRS system with a sensor part that has a light-emitting/receiving section and a main unit equipped with a battery, which are separated from each other. The data measured by the sensor part is sent to the main unit connected by a cable, and can be transferred to a laptop via Bluetooth for real-time monitoring. The independence of the sensor part from the main unit allows for attachment and measurement on various parts of the body. Muscle activity NIRS measurements can be performed in various locations and situations, such as on the neck and shoulders, or on the waist and thighs when sitting on a seat.
