"The building shining with neon lights... what company is it?" is a question often asked by residents of Tokoname City where the factory is located. With the cooperation of ZEROBASE Co., Ltd., we filmed VR factory tour data that can be viewed in 360-degree 4K quality using a service called Matterport, and it was publicly released on our company's website nationwide on April 21. ● Background leading to the filming of VR factory data The Rinku Tokoname Factory was completed in February 2020, just as we were about to get started, when COVID-19 spread globally. As a result of the pandemic, the willingness of customers and stakeholders to visit the factory decreased. Even before the pandemic, we received many inquiries about factory visits to reference system integration and IT implementation, and those who visited our company gave high evaluations. We thought about creating a situation where anyone interested could freely tour the factory at their preferred time and place, regardless of the circumstances, and to provide a push for the manufacturing industry (especially small and medium-sized enterprises) that has been hesitant about IT implementation, which led to the filming. We hope to provide an opportunity for a wider audience to learn about the manufacturing industry, which has been overlooked due to the "3K" (dirty, dangerous, and demanding), and to view it with interest.

Free membership registrationOn October 13, 2020, we were selected by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry as a "Regional Future Leading Company." <Evaluation Content> Our company has established a consistent production management system utilizing IT (Information Technology) from material procurement to inspection and delivery. By implementing IT, we have achieved visibility across all operations and a paperless environment. Utilizing databases and information analysis tools, we have created a system where young employees can thrive, allowing for appropriate estimates and order placements even without specialized knowledge by analyzing past order data, etc. Additionally, at the Rinku Tokoname Factory, completed in February 2020, we have introduced new equipment to streamline production and secondary processing. We have also implemented an automated warehouse capable of storing 1,500 products, aiming to reduce labor and streamline logistics within the factory. Being close to Chubu Centrair International Airport allows us to receive products from overseas partner factories in about one day, facilitating smooth product acceptance and strengthening our efforts towards short-term deliveries. The Rinku Tokoname Factory, equipped with cutting-edge machinery, conducts factory tours as a "showcase factory," attracting new orders across various industries. We will continue to contribute to regional revitalization as a "Regional Future Leading Company."

Free membership registrationOn November 6, 2020, I participated in the "Aichi Women's Empowerment Promotion Summit 2020" organized by Aichi Prefecture. We were selected as an excellent company for the "Aichi Women Shine Company" and held an award ceremony by Governor Omura, along with presentations of initiatives by the awarded companies. I sincerely thank you for receiving this prestigious award. Since our founding as a small town ironworks in Kariya City in 1990, it has been 30 years. In order to create an ironworks where women can thrive as a matter of course, we have implemented various initiatives over the years. As a result, while Thermic had 37 employees in 2015, it increased to 159 by 2019 (including 101 women), and both the performance and the presence of women have significantly grown. As for our future vision, Thermic will continue to be based on "manufacturing where women thrive," and we will always challenge ourselves with new things, such as new working styles and the introduction of IT technologies. During the panel discussion, the response from our President Tanaka was, "I believe that by changing our mindset as management, being close to our employees, and building relationships, we can grow into a company where women thrive, and I am putting this into practice." These were very wonderful words, so I wanted to share them here.
