The currently used halftone masks are created by forming a halftone film on a substrate that has already been masked, and then further patterning it. Types where the halftone film exists above the Cr film are called top-type halftone masks. The CST halftone film has been used in actual processes as a top-type halftone film since 2002. We started in April 1977 as a manufacturer specializing in mask blanks. Since our establishment, we have expanded our business ahead of the times, from semiconductor mask blanks to FPD mask blanks and halftone films. In response to customer requests for quality improvement, we have developed new blanks that cater to high-resolution masks.
