However, when a topcoat is applied over cationic paint, the adhesion is dominated by the cationic layer, which is prone to cracking. If the cationic coating cracks or peels, the topcoat may also tear, and in this case, it will not be covered by warranty. Using a thin pre-coat film with salt damage resistance reduces the risk, but the adhesion will still be weaker compared to painting directly on aluminum or copper. In an environment containing acids, sulfur, and ammonia, corrosion occurs in the copper pipes of the vent section, leading to pinholes and resulting in the leakage of refrigerants and Freon. Polyurea prevents the occurrence of corrosion, thereby preventing Freon leakage. Although measures against Freon leakage are becoming stricter, we recommend Polyurea for preventing leakage in heat exchangers, which are one of the components that are difficult to replace.
