Textiles are a general term for fabric products made by intertwining warp (vertical threads) and weft (horizontal threads). Pile fabrics are those in which hair-like or looped threads protrude from the surface of the fabric. Pile fabrics can be categorized into several types based on differences in manufacturing methods, each possessing distinct characteristics. Fabric is created by inserting (weaving) the weft threads between the intersecting warp threads. This part serves as the base material for holding the pile and is referred to as the "base fabric" or "ground." By arbitrarily changing the material, thickness, length, planting interval, and planting shape of the pile, the characteristics of pile fabrics can be varied extensively, allowing for a wide range of applications. These applications are diverse, including cleaning delicate items, filling gaps, dust prevention, filtration, cushioning, thermal insulation, and water repellency.
