Through a special manufacturing process, boric acid, which previously did not dissolve in water, is now dissolved at high concentrations. It contains no organic solvents and is composed solely of sodium polyborate and water. It exhibits a high flame retardant effect on cellulose and was originally developed as a flame retardant solution for the production of non-combustible wood. In recent years, evaluations have begun for various materials, not only cellulose-based materials but also including resins. Additionally, it demonstrates excellent effectiveness in wood preservation and termite prevention, and due to its extremely low toxicity, it is significantly easier to handle compared to existing termite agents.
