We will introduce forging using thermoplastic discontinuous CFRP. As discontinuous fiber CFRTP, we used flat plates made by cutting unidirectional carbon fiber tape to a specified length and bonding them together, with the aim of clarifying the forming behavior and forming conditions for complex-shaped parts. As a result, the appearance of the formed product is shown in Fig. 6, indicating that filling was achieved up to the upper part of the mold, and a convergence point of the material was observed at the upper part of the lateral hole. 【Forging Forming Conditions】 ■ Upper mold temperature: 180℃ ■ Lower mold temperature: 160℃ ■ Die cushion load: 5kN (material surface pressure 16MPa) ■ Material weight: 45.5g ■ Material temperature: 280℃ ■ Control: Position control *For more details, please refer to the related links or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationI would like to introduce a case study on the research and development of stainless steel cold forging. In conventional methods, there were issues such as poor material yield and low production capacity, as well as long processing cycle times due to total cutting. With the new technology and methods, cold forging enables near-net shape production, improving material yield and reducing material costs and cutting processing cycle times, resulting in cost reduction. 【Customer Issues with Conventional Methods】 ■ Poor material yield: 40% ■ Low production capacity: 100 to 3,000 pieces/month ■ Long processing cycle times due to total cutting: High component costs *For more details on the case study, you can view it through the related links. For more information, please feel free to download the PDF or contact us.

Free membership registrationAs a VA/VE case, we will introduce the elimination of the welding process through cold forging. The conventional method of joining two pieces (stamped parts + fully machined parts) by welding has challenges such as high costs, the need for inspections, and limitations on production capacity. The new technology and method of cold forging as a single unit offers benefits such as reduced manufacturing costs due to the elimination of the welding process, improved quality and performance, and increased productivity. 【Customer Challenges with Conventional Method】 ■ Labor involved in the welding process: High costs ■ Stabilization of quality and performance due to the welding process: Inspections required ■ Production lead time due to the welding process: Limitations on production capacity *For detailed information on the case, please refer to the related link. For more details, feel free to download the PDF or contact us.

Free membership registrationLet me introduce the benefits of cold forging. When manufacturing parts through cutting processes, cutting from round bars or plate materials can lead to longer processing times. However, by using cold forging to achieve near-net shapes, it can reduce the cutting processing time. Parts that are work-hardened through cold forging have improved strength and increased reliability. Additionally, we can provide a collection of case studies. 【Benefits】 ■ Improved design aesthetics and cost flexibility ■ Elimination of concerns about pressure leaks in hydraulic and pneumatic components, leading to improved quality ■ Cold-forged aluminum parts can also enable brazing, which is difficult with aluminum die-cast parts ■ Parts that are work-hardened through cold forging have increased strength and improved reliability *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.
