Free membership registrationAt Maruyama Seicha, we handle Kakegawa tea, which boasts some of the best quality and flavor in the country. On our company website, we introduce how to brew Kakegawa tea in a way that allows you to enjoy its vibrant green color and deep, sweet flavor in the best condition. For more details, please check the related link below. 【How to Brew Delicious Kakegawa Tea】 (1) Boil tap water and let it sit for 3 to 4 minutes, or use a filtration system to remove chlorine odor. (2) Pour hot water into teacups up to about 80% full and let it cool to 70-80°C. (3) While the water is cooling, place tea leaves in a teapot (about 2g per person is appropriate). (4) Pour the cooled water into the teapot and let it sit for about 30 seconds to allow the tea to steep. (5) To ensure each person's tea has a uniform strength, pour a little into each teacup in turn. (6) For the second infusion, pour water into the teapot and wait about 10 seconds before pouring it in. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationIt is said that green tea began to be produced in Japan when Zen Master Eisai, the founder of the Rinzai sect, brought tea seeds back from China’s Song Dynasty in 1191. During the high economic growth period of the 1950s, the cultivation of tea progressed alongside the spread of the "Yabukita" variety, and further improvements in flavor were achieved through the development of the "deep steaming" method, leading to significant advancements in Kakegawa tea. Kakegawa tea had the drawback of thick leaves and strong astringency, so the "deep steaming" method was devised to mellow its flavor. This method brought out the beautiful color and natural sweetness of Kakegawa tea, which gradually became beloved by many people. Today, in Shizuoka Prefecture, a major tea-producing area that accounts for about half of Japan's tea production, Kakegawa tea represents about 10% of that production. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.*
