By performing pickling as a pretreatment before mechanical polishing, such as barrel polishing or hand polishing, the polishing time can be shortened, resulting in a more lustrous metal surface. In cases where stains are difficult to remove, where rust has already occurred, or when there is a desire to enhance corrosion resistance or achieve a glossy finish, treatments are combined.
