Here is an example of high-speed computation using SCAPP and GPU. CUDA is an integrated development environment for GPU computing provided by the semiconductor manufacturer NVIDIA. It consists of program writing, compiler, libraries, and debugger, making it easy to handle if you have experience in programming with the C language. 【Features】 ■ Data measured with a digitizer can be sent directly to the GPU in a CUDA environment, and by sending the computation results from the GPU back to the CPU, it enables real-time processing (the processing power of the GPU is hundreds of times greater than that of the CPU). *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationWe will introduce examples of the collaboration between arbitrary waveform generators and digitizers (using PC software or SBench6), as well as application cases of the hybridNETBOX (using PC software or SBench6). By programming from a PC and configuring through the attached GUI "SBench6," it is possible to generate any analog waveform from the AWG and apply it to the measurement target. Additionally, it is possible to replay actual waveforms obtained from the digitizer through the AWG, or output waveforms that have been processed and modified on the computer. *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationOn May 5, 2021, the German company Spectrum became the first in the world to launch support for the programming language "Julia" (SDK). Spectrum's digitizers, AWG (Arbitrary Waveform Generators), and digital I/O can be used from "Julia." "Julia" is a relatively new programming language developed at MIT. It combines the performance speed of "C" with the expressiveness of "Python" and "MATLAB," and is rapidly gaining popularity in the fields of science, technology, and numerical computation.

Free membership registrationOn March 17, 2021, Spectrum, a German company, began supporting drivers for NVIDIA Jetson (ARM-based embedded computer boards) in response to numerous requests. This enables the use of Spectrum's 65 types of PCIe interface digitizers, AWGs (arbitrary waveform generators), and digital IO products with the compact, energy-efficient, and powerful NVIDIA Jetson. NVIDIA Jetson consists of an ARM CPU and NVIDIA's CUDA-based GPU, allowing for supercomputer-level parallel processing and featuring a PCIe slot. This makes it possible to apply the supercomputer-level parallel processing capabilities of NVIDIA GPUs to the vast amounts of data generated by Spectrum's PCIe products. Spectrum has traditionally supported NVIDIA CUDA-based GPUs through the SCAPP (Spectrum's CUDA Access for Parallel Processing) option.

Free membership registrationSpectrum Instrumentation GmbH in Germany released a new SDK, the SCAPP software option – the Spectrum CUDA Access for Parallel Processing – on November 20, 2017. SCAPP is an SDK option that uses Nvidia's CUDA standard (CUDA is a parallel computing architecture that utilizes GPUs with 256 to 5,000 processing units provided by NVIDIA) to perform computational processing of data acquired by digitizers at supercomputer-like speeds. With CUDA, it is possible to execute data conversion, filtering, accumulation and averaging, baseline correction, window processing, and FFT at supercomputer-like speeds (up to 12 TFLOPS). The SCAPP package is an extension of drivers that enable Remote Direct Memory Access (RDMA), and it supports the M4i series and M2p series under Linux.

Free membership registrationIn "photoacoustic measurement" using lasers, the characteristics of lasers, such as depth of field and the ability to achieve very small focus, are utilized to irradiate nanosecond laser pulses onto tissue. This allows for the observation and measurement of ultrasound generated instantaneously beyond the thermal diffusion length, enabling measurements with higher spatial resolution than conventional methods. Applications are rapidly advancing, primarily in biological observation and the surface states of materials. The need for data analysis capabilities has increased due to the broadening and multi-channeling of sensor signals, leading to a demand for high-speed, high-resolution, high-performance digitizers. 【Main Specifications and Features】 ■ Trigger measurement accurately synchronized with laser irradiation timing ■ High sampling rate: 500MS/s to 5GS/s ■ Frequency range: 250MHz to 2.5GHz ■ Resolution: 8/12/14/16, high SNR ■ Number of input channels: 1ch to 16ch ■ Real-time averaging function via onboard FPGA ■ Data collection function with gate specification...reducing data transfer to PC *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
