【Purpose of Evaluation】 This evaluation assesses the differences in posture and movement of individuals, as well as the relative movement between a person and a backpack, between backpacks that are easy to carry and those that are not. 【Evaluation Method】 Various backpacks will be worn, and subjective and behavioral evaluations will be conducted during predetermined movements to assess the factors that influence ease of carrying. ■ Target Movements (while wearing the backpack) - Standing still - Jumping in place - Walking ■ Subjective Evaluation - Ease of carrying - Degree of burden on the body (shoulders, sides, back, etc.) ■ Motion Evaluation using the Anakin System - Posture and movement Using the Anakin System, we will primarily measure posture and movement during walking (the tilt and sway of the torso to the left, right, forward, and backward). - Sway of the backpack By attaching auxiliary markers to the backpack and using the Anakin System, we will measure its relative movement with respect to the body (third lumbar vertebra). - Pressure between the shoulder straps and the body Pressure will be measured using load cells. ■ Evaluation Results It was found that backpacks that are difficult to carry result in a greater range of body sway in a forward-leaning posture, both laterally and front-to-back. Additionally, there is a significant relative displacement between the person and the backpack.

Free membership registration**What is the Anakin System?** It is a system developed by our company that can measure human movements without any attachments on the body and while wearing casual clothing. **Evaluation Method** Using a container that opens by twisting as an example, we had participants open two commercially available containers, measuring the force required to open them while simultaneously recording the movements with the Anakin System. Additionally, we measured muscle strain using electromyography. **Evaluation Results** Firstly, the two containers had different shapes, and when handed over without any instructions, it was evident that the way they were held and the opening movements differed. Below is a description of the findings. ■ Difficult-to-open container - The shape forces the user to grip the side of the bottle, causing both elbows to rise and creating a wide gap that hinders the application of force. ■ Easy-to-open container - The bottom part of the bottle is designed for easy gripping, allowing both elbows to remain low and close to the body, making it easier to exert force. For specific measurement examples, please refer to the attached materials.

Free membership registrationHere is an example of using the "markerless 3D motion measurement system" for walking shoes that are effective for dieting. As a result of measuring the dieting effect, walking speed, and stride length, it was found that shoes with a significant dieting effect also have greater walking speed and stride length. At the same time, the muscle strain measured during walking was found to be greater for shoes with a significant dieting effect. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registration**What is Slow Jogging?** Slow jogging is an exercise performed at a slow pace that is no different from walking, but by changing the way you run, you can achieve a higher exercise effect than walking. **Correct Slow Jogging** Here are four key points for proper slow jogging: ■ Keep your back straight ■ Bend your elbows slightly and naturally ■ Do not land on your heels ■ Take small, rhythmic steps **What is the Anakin System?** It allows for the measurement of human movement while in everyday clothing. **Why Use the Anakin System?** It quickly shows whether your slow jogging technique is correct, and since slow jogging increases walking speed, this can also be easily observed. **Effects of Slow Jogging** A training session on slow jogging was conducted with five middle-aged and older adults, who then practiced it at home for three months. Measurements of walking speed, stride length, and cadence were taken before and after the slow jogging using the Anakin System. The results showed that both walking speed and stride length significantly increased, indicating potential benefits for the prevention of dementia and lifestyle-related diseases. Free membership registration**Why Measure Walking Speed** The relationship between walking speed and dementia has been studied at the Tokyo Metropolitan Institute of Gerontology. It was also featured in an NHK special titled "Dementia Revolution." In summary, it has been found that if walking speed falls below 0.8 m/sec, there is a higher likelihood of developing dementia. This means that by monitoring walking speed over time, there is a possibility of preventing dementia. **Measurement Method** To prevent dementia, it is necessary to regularly measure walking speed and assess its changes over time. Traditionally, marking spots on the floor and timing how long it takes to walk between them is cumbersome and labor-intensive. In contrast, the Anakin System allows individuals to walk about 4 meters towards a camera without any attachments or special clothing, instantly providing data on walking speed, stride length, and gait. The Anakin System can be set up in about 30 minutes at venues, allowing for the collection of a large amount of data in a single day. **Effect of Measurement** By monitoring walking speed over time and detecting Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI), it has been shown that it is possible to prevent the progression towards dementia.

Free membership registrationWe will introduce examples of the use of the "Markerless 3D Motion Measurement System" for advanced and beginner jump rope practitioners. We focused on measuring the Y-coordinate of the LeftFoot to observe the jumping technique and the X-coordinate of the LeftForceArm to analyze hand movements. As a result, it was found that beginners have unstable jumping power, resulting in a pointed shape, while advanced practitioners have stable jumping power, resulting in a rounded shape. 【Case Study】 ■ Movements of LeftFoot and LeftForceArm - Beginners: Jumping power is unstable, resulting in a pointed shape. - Advanced practitioners: Jumping power is stable, resulting in a rounded shape. ■ Timing of arm opening and jumping - Beginners: The timing of arm opening and the interval between jumps are shorter. - Advanced practitioners: The timing of arm opening and the interval between jumps are consistent. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
