The Safe Cover, an FRP mat manufactured by Oxford Plastic Systems, was co-developed with National Grid, a major UK power and gas company (British Gas). This product is lighter than steel plates, can be carried by two people, is easy to handle, and does not require heavy machinery. Compared to work using steel plates, it allows for reductions in construction time and costs. It offers new applications as a mat for private roads and temporary setups.

The road plates manufactured by Oxford Plastic Systems are lightweight and have excellent load-bearing capacity, made from FRP molded materials. Traditionally, temporary hole filling at excavation sites was handled with steel plates, but with the use of this product, installation and removal can be done without heavy machinery, leading to improvements in cost-effectiveness, safety, workability, environmental impact, and a reduction in construction time. It can be carried by at least two people, allowing for quick access to locations that are inaccessible to vehicles due to earthquake damage, and it is expected to assist vehicle passage in earthquake-affected areas.
