As part of our efforts towards the SDGs, we have created this paper following the coffee powder recycled paper...!! The star of this project is eggshells!! Chicken eggs have become an essential part of people's diets, with the average annual consumption per person in Japan reaching about 340 eggs!? The domestic disposal of used eggshells is said to amount to approximately 260,000 tons per year. While some are reused as compost or soil conditioners, most are treated as industrial waste. We have prototyped eggshell paper to give these eggshells a second life, and we hope to find a way forward with the help of our customers' insights. Additionally, if any customers are interested in turning "such materials" into sheets, please feel free to consult with us. We aim to continue being a company that fits into a sustainable society and is needed, while exploring new initiatives. Please look forward to the third installment of our SDGs paper!

We are looking for users! The coffee that everyone enjoys during work or breaks is often discarded as waste after brewing, with a large amount of coffee grounds being produced. As part of our efforts towards the SDGs, we have created paper made primarily from used coffee grounds. Roasted coffee has a porous structure and adsorption properties. While we still have some challenges to overcome before mass production, we believe we can effectively utilize the papermaking technology that Oribest has developed over many years. To continue being a company that contributes to society and aligns with a sustainable society, we will keep challenging ourselves with new initiatives.
