After anodizing aluminum, cover the parts of the surface that you want to remain as a three-dimensional image with a corrosion-resistant protective film, and then immerse it in a solution that dissolves aluminum. The unprotected unwanted parts will be removed (etching process, see figure), resulting in the desired three-dimensional image. Since the dissolved area reveals the raw aluminum, further anodizing can be applied to this part, and if necessary, it can also be dyed. In this way, three-dimensional images or text can be obtained, and by combining the differences in gloss and matte finishes due to the pre-treatment of the image and the base material, along with dyeing, decorative reliefs and nameplates with rich design can be achieved.

Q1: Can you produce even one piece? A1: Since mass-produced parts also start with prototypes, it is possible to manufacture from one piece. After discussing the specifications, we will provide a quote and can manufacture at the prototype price. Q2: Can the manuscript be in data format? A2: It depends on the software and version used, but it is possible if it is a commonly used type. In special cases, we can discuss it. It can also be created from a printed copy. Q3: How long does it take for prototype handling? A3: The process from manuscript data to plate making, color matching, first trial, and prototype will be involved. Depending on the content, it generally takes about two weeks due to plate making and specification discussions. Q4: What is the maximum size that can be processed? A4: It varies for thickness of the board, offset, and silk printing. Larger items can be accommodated up to about one meter, but please consult us for details. Q5: What are the differences between industrial products and general specification products? A5: Industrial products are usually manufactured in a certain quantity regularly, so it is necessary to manage variations between lots and maintain quality within a certain range.

Using high-purity aluminum, various pre-treatment methods such as glossy, matte, pearlescent, hairline, and sandblasting are employed to finish the surface in a way that enhances design effects. A high-quality anodizing process is then applied to achieve the desired coloring on the surface, resulting in durable decorative products. Dyeing can range from single colors to multiple colors, and even to full-color finishes with color separation, resulting in a richly decorative and aesthetically pleasing finish.

In conventional etching processes, the etching depth is shallow, and deepening the etching to enhance the three-dimensional effect can distort the image. Alumite products are created by immersing the target object in a sulfuric acid solution and applying electricity for a necessary duration (approximately 15 to 50 minutes) to grow the alumite coating. This results in a coating that has a porous surface and can be dyed. The surface possesses a very hard and scratch-resistant nature. Due to the transparent properties of the dye, it is easy to achieve a metallic luster, making it suitable for products that require a high-end feel. At the end of the process, a sealing treatment is performed for purposes such as stain resistance, completing the product.

Offset printing, as the name suggests, does not print directly onto the substrate but rather uses a blanket to do so, and there are various types of equipment such as web and sheet-fed presses. When printing large quantities of roll paper or cut paper, color printing is done using four-color or five-color machines. The printing content is color-separated into YMCK colors, utilizing the opposing properties of water and oil, so that ink does not adhere where there is moisture, and ink is transferred from the plate to the blanket and then to the substrate only in the necessary areas, resulting in the final product. Compared to silk screening, the thickness of the ink is thinner and has lower durability, so multiple prints of the same design may be done to ensure the thickness of the ink, or a topcoat may be used to protect the printed surface of the product. Offset printing is suitable for producing large quantities of products.

Aluminum is soft in its raw material form and unsuitable for practical use, so it undergoes anodizing treatment (commonly known as alumite) as the most excellent surface treatment method. This process involves using aluminum as the anode and passing an electric current through a solution such as sulfuric acid to oxidize the surface of the aluminum. The oxide film formed on the surface through this treatment significantly increases hardness, wear resistance, and corrosion resistance, resulting in properties that are entirely different and superior to the raw material. An even greater feature of the anodized oxide film is its dense structure, which contains countless extremely fine vertical pores that can be observed under an electron microscope. This unique characteristic allows for the adsorption of fine particles, such as dyes, within these pores, a property not seen in other metals. By utilizing this characteristic, the entire surface or desired portions can be colored in any color, and a sealing treatment can be applied to seal the dye within the film, allowing aluminum to be dyed robustly like fabric. Unlike plating or painting, alumite dyeing does not suffer from peeling or flaking of the colored areas, making it highly durable.
