Free membership registrationAs a case study for the implementation of Optimal Works, we have published an example from a chemical manufacturer that focuses on "reducing setup time, which fluctuates based on manufacturing order, to increase the operating time of production equipment." In the manufacturing process of paints and dyes, there is a cleaning time for equipment (setup time). To increase production volume, it is necessary to create a production plan that minimizes setup time and maximizes equipment operating time. However, the know-how for planning has become tacit knowledge held by experienced personnel, leading to risks associated with reliance on specific individuals. The article introduces a case where the implementation method of Optimal Works, which involves checking outputs and improving production plans through PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act), has formalized the know-how and achieved a reduction in work time. Please take a look at the link below.

Free membership registrationAs a case study for the introduction of Optimal Works, we have published the reasons why the implementation of a production scheduler has progressed in companies engaged in custom order production, which tends to be challenging. In the printing industry that specializes in custom order production, there exists a dilemma where improving productivity directly correlates with the company's competitiveness, while systematizing production planning tends to be difficult. The article discusses two points: the background of the successful implementation of a system that is usually challenging, and the reasons why productivity has improved using Optimal Works.
