We would like to introduce a case study of the implementation we handled for Taiyo Holdings Co., Ltd. There were challenges in building a "common virtualization infrastructure" for the Taiyo Group, aimed at shared services, integrating existing systems, ensuring stable operations to support the growth strategy of the Taiyo Group, maintaining business continuity, and creating an infrastructure equipped with adaptability to change. To address these challenges, we built a group-wide common virtualization infrastructure using HPE SimpliVity and strengthened BCP and disaster response at the East and West data centers. We would like to introduce a case study of our collaboration with Yamazen Corporation. The company faced challenges in expanding remote work for 800 users, primarily in the sales department, and in building a high-performance VDI environment as part of their BCP (Business Continuity Plan) measures, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. To address this, we established an on-premises VDI infrastructure using HPE SimpliVity that does not impose operational burdens, and provided a VDI environment for an additional 300 users on top of the initially planned 800 users. After implementation, we significantly improved the response of the VDI environment, contributing to increased productivity in remote work, enhancing service quality through the transition from DaaS to on-premises VDI, and enabling more flexible operations.
