This document introduces an overview of the development of a new motor for electric vehicles (EVs). It features a completely new structure as a drive motor for EVs and plug-in hybrid vehicles (PHVs) and is equipped with a KERS (Kinetic Energy Recovery System). This new motor is referred to as the K&E Power Motor. The purpose of the development is to rotate the motor's stator coil during regeneration to accumulate the vehicle's kinetic energy, and to output it as rotational kinetic energy combined with electric output from the battery during re-acceleration, achieving high power and high efficiency (low energy consumption).
