We received a message from a customer living in Tokyo. They expressed a desire to have a wedding ceremony in a wedding dress made of washi paper. With the ceremony just six months away, we were on a tight schedule, but we hand-crafted our original-sized washi paper in our workshop, finishing each piece into crumpled paper by hand. The materials used are kozo (mulberry) and konjac glue. This provides a certain degree of water resistance and strength against pulling, resulting in a durability that rivals fabric. The sewing was done by Angelique, and the venue was the Tokyo Station Hotel. The completed wedding dress was as light as a feather, beautifully adorning the customer's new beginning. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.*

Free membership registrationWe have accepted a project from "Aizome Washi" to create ponchos using indigo-dyed washi paper. Our workshop is cooperating in supplying the raw material kozo and in the production of custom-made washi paper measuring 1.4m x 2.0m. The kozo that has been thoroughly indigo-dyed does not lose any color during the papermaking process and retains its vibrant hue. It is dyed in an astonishingly uniform and deep blue, yet the texture of the washi remains intact, feeling no different from regular paper. I truly feel that natural pigments are very compatible with washi paper. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
