The "KOSUMO-Process" is an optimized surface treatment method that conducts detailed examinations of processing conditions and gas compositions based on the usage conditions and specific areas of the mold. Furthermore, the "V1-P and V2-P treatments" are composite nitriding processes that enhance aluminum melt loss resistance characteristics by adding a ferric oxide film to the gas soft nitriding layer. For more details about the technology, please contact us. 【V1 Treatment Details】 ■ Surface Hardness: 1000–1100 HV ■ Nitriding Diffusion Layer Depth: 130–170 μm ■ Compound Layer Present ■ Wear Resistance, Light Melt Loss Resistance ■ Sliding Parts, General Purpose Components *For more information, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationTo improve the lifespan of die-casting molds, it is necessary to enhance heat crack resistance and melt loss resistance, while also giving sufficient consideration to resistance against crack propagation and fracture, as well as toughness. Increasing the hardness of the mold is effective against initial heat cracks, but it poses risks of large fractures and issues regarding the propagation of cracks once they occur. Conversely, reducing hardness eliminates the risk of large fractures, but problems remain concerning initial heat checks. Our rapid cooling low distortion heat treatment technology, "KS Treatment," focuses on identifying which temperature range significantly affects the performance of the mold material between the quenching temperature and the end of cooling, and we propose suitable heat treatment conditions for each material. [Features] ■ Two-stage rapid cooling low distortion heat treatment "KS2/KSV Treatment" - Depending on material characteristics, various cooling conditions and cooling control using cooling dampers, as well as partial cooling using localized cooling nozzles, can be selected. ■ Multi-stage rapid cooling low distortion heat treatment "KS3/KS-R Treatment" - Capable of heat treating some of the largest die-casting molds in Japan. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationThe "Super Cooling Plug" is a faucet fitting for spot cooling of die-casting molds. Maintenance is easy with a one-touch snap ring, just like the conventional type. It has been reduced in size by 30% compared to the conventional type, achieving space-saving. It cools the poorly cooled insert section intensively from the back, improving quality and shot cycles. 【Features】 ■ 30% size reduction compared to the conventional type ■ Contributes to cost reduction ■ One-touch maintenance with the conventional snap ring ■ Suitable for core pin cooling as well *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
