We would like to introduce two fluorescent marker products using the ultraviolet-excited phosphor "Lumisis." <Lumisis Marker> These are spherical acrylic particles (approximately 10μm) containing Lumisis, suitable for visualizing fluids. Debris in the fluid is not visible, and no optical filters are required. When illuminated with a single light source, they fluoresce in different colors. Since it uses invisible light, there is minimal glare during photography. <Lumisis Marker Oil Mist> This is a mist for visualizing airflow, created by adding Lumisis to a colorless, transparent diluent. When exposed to a light source such as a UV laser, the color changes. It allows for color differentiation in red, green, and blue with a single light source, making it easy to capture clear visualizations even in areas where airflow mixes. By using invisible light, it does not capture dust or particles, allowing for a clear representation of airflow and eliminating the need for optical filters or image processing efforts. *For more details, please refer to the materials. Feel free to contact us with any inquiries.*

Free membership registrationThe "Lumisis Marker Oil Mist" is a mist for visualizing airflow, made by adding a UV-excited phosphor to a colorless, transparent diluent. When exposed to a light source such as a UV laser, the color changes. There are three colors available, allowing for red, green, and blue differentiation with a single light source, making it easy to capture visualization images even in scenarios where airflow is mixed. Since it uses invisible light, it does not reflect dust or particles, allowing for a clear capture of airflow and eliminating the need for optical filters or image processing. 【Features】 ■ Effective for visualizing jets, turbulence, and mixed airflow ■ Contributes to high precision in PIV analysis images and improves shooting efficiency ■ Uses the rare earth complex "Lumisis" as the luminescent material *For more details, please refer to the materials available for download in PDF format. Feel free to contact us with any inquiries.

Free membership registration"LumisisMarker" is a spherical resin particle containing our ultraviolet-excited phosphor "Lumisis." The ultraviolet-excited phosphor Lumisis is excited by ultraviolet wavelengths and shows a strong tendency to emit various colors such as red, blue, and green, depending on the type. Various thermoplastic resins such as acrylic, nylon, polystyrene, and ABS can be used as the base material. 【Features】 ■ The excitation wavelength and fluorescence wavelength are the same as Lumisis's excitation wavelength. ■ Particle size can be controlled from the nanometer order to the 100μm order. ■ The proportion of Lumisis contained can be controlled. ■ The specific gravity is almost the same as that of the base resin. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationThe Lumisis Marker fluoresces strongly at wavelengths of 290 to 405 nm, and it has been confirmed that it also fluoresces at the visible light wavelength of 405 nm. When using ultraviolet light, which is invisible, only the Lumisis Marker fluoresces, and other objects such as walls and debris do not reflect light, making them invisible. When using visible light at 405 nm (purple) as the light source, the Lumisis Marker emits a fluorescent color, while other objects like walls and debris appear purple. When using common visible light such as blue, green, red, or white, all objects including the Lumisis Marker reflect the same color as the light source or the color of the object itself. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.*

Free membership registrationThe halation caused by visible light sources results in bright halation due to the light reflecting off directly illuminated objects. Since ultraviolet light is invisible, even if halation occurs, it cannot be seen. The halation caused by the fluorescence of Lumisis Marker excited by ultraviolet light is much weaker than that caused by the light source, so it has little impact on photography. 【Characteristics of Visible Light Source (Red)】 ■ Lumisis Marker glows in the same color as the light source ■ Walls strongly reflect light *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationHere are some examples of applications for visualization experiments using the resin particles "Lumisis Marker." In the case of a visible light source (for example, blue), everything in the fluid around the object glows in the same color as the light source. With a visible light source (purple 405nm), the Lumisis Marker appears green. The object, along with debris and bubbles, glows in the same color as the light source. Additionally, with an invisible light source (ultraviolet), the Lumisis Marker also appears green, while the object, debris, and bubbles are not visible. 【Features of Visible Light Source (e.g., blue)】 ■ Conventional visualization methods ■ Masking treatment is required to separate the boundaries between the object and the particles ■ Unwanted information such as debris is also captured *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationThe fluid mixed with Lumisis Marker resin particles that fluoresce in different colors from multiple entrances was visualized during multiphase and mixing flow in the pipeline, as well as the boundary layer flow near the wall. Using an invisible light source (ultraviolet), it is possible to capture the behavior of particles emitting different colors simultaneously with a color camera, and objects such as debris or bubbles other than Lumisis Marker are not visible. With a visible light source (purple 405nm), all objects other than Lumisis Marker, such as walls and bubbles, glow purple, making it unsuitable for capturing near the boundary layer. 【Features】 ■ Multiphase flow and mixing flow - Lumisis Markers of different colors can be traced ■ Boundary layer flow near the wall - Detailed visualization of flow within the boundary layer very close to the wall is possible ■ Interface flow between two liquids - Flow at the interface of different fluids can be visualized with a single light source *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationWe visualized the shape change of the liquid surface and the mixing process of the liquid when a droplet containing a red LumisisMarker was dropped onto a liquid surface containing a blue LumisisMarker. Under visible light source (purple 405nm), the LumisisMarkers appear red and blue, and the interface between the droplet and the liquid surface glows in the same color as the visible light source. Under invisible light source (ultraviolet), the LumisisMarkers appear red and blue, but the interface was not visible. Although fluorescent dyes become cloudy in the mixing area, the LumisisMarkers can be tracked because the fluorescent colors of the particles are different. 【Features of the visible light source (purple 405nm)】 - When using a color camera, halation can be removed through image processing. - The behavior of each particle can be captured. - When using a monochrome camera with an optical filter that passes wavelengths longer than 405nm, halation is removed, but the two types of particles are captured as the same color. - When using a bandpass filter, it is possible to capture the behavior of one color of particles. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
