Regarding PFOA, it was decided at the review committee (POPRC) held in September 2018 that it would be recommended for addition to the list of substances for elimination at the next meeting (COP9, April to May 2019). ■Current Regulations EU PFOA is listed in REACH Annex 17 as a restricted substance, with a threshold of 25 ppb. The Stockholm Convention will recommend its addition to Annex A for elimination. As for similar substances, PFOS has been subject to regulatory restrictions under the Stockholm Convention for some time.
