This document discusses the lightweighting of aluminum plates reinforced with CFRP materials using a "simple bonding method." By adhering CFRP materials to thinner substrates than conventional aluminum materials, it is possible to maintain the same strength as the original material while achieving additional weight reduction. [Overview] ■ Joining - Using the simple bonding method, two sheets of CFRP material are bonded to both sides of a 0.5mm thick aluminum plate with the fiber direction of the CFRP material rotated 90 degrees. ■ Three-point bending strength of "CFRP reinforced aluminum plate: 0.5+0.5+0.5" - Approximately 80N ■ Results - This corresponds to the three-point bending strength of an aluminum plate only with a thickness of about 1.8mm, allowing for a weight reduction of approximately half by replacing it with the "CFRP reinforced aluminum plate." *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

"FW180701" is a primer for aluminum that eliminates the need for chemical treatment, which has been considered a standard in aluminum surface treatment until now. Unlike wash (etching) primers or epoxy primers, it does not require specific conditions for the substrate. It can be easily applied by spraying onto surfaces that have been filled with putty or in a raw aluminum state.
