We would like to introduce a case where we stopped water leakage inside a box culvert due to a large amount of water contained in the embankment during a river improvement project in Okinawa Prefecture. After injecting "Sanmatera Aqua" and "Sanmatera Aqua EX" into the cracked areas, we applied ultra-fine particle cement (water + special resin mixture) and, after drying, removed the excess material using a grinder or similar tool. "Sanmatera Aqua EX" is a super-fine particle impregnating concrete modification waterproofing agent that stops water leakage with a powerful void-filling effect through pozzolanic reaction. The main component, a specially formulated ultra-fine silicate, deeply penetrates the concrete and chemically reacts with unhydrated calcium hydroxide to produce insoluble and viscous C-S-H gel, which fills the capillary voids within the concrete and densifies it.
