VASU Japan has recently started mass production of biodegradable plastics that can impart biodegradability to non-woven fabrics used for various applications, offering excellent cost performance. The bioplastics suitable for this biodegradable non-woven fabric enable the introduction of biodegradable plastics for a variety of uses. While biodegradable non-woven fabrics are already available in the market, many products primarily use PLA (polylactic acid) as the main raw material, making cost a barrier to adoption. The VS-90-2-A10 was developed with the aim of lowering this barrier. In Japan, the share of bioplastics is overwhelmingly dominated by biomass plastics, but as the VASU Group, which specializes in the development and manufacturing of biodegradable plastics, we hope to broaden our applications without limitations. Additionally, the VS-90-2-A10 is currently under patent application in China. The VS-90-2-A10 is ideally suited for the spunbond method, which is a highly efficient manufacturing process that enables the continuous production of non-woven fabrics from thermoplastic resins. By melting the raw resin and continuously spinning the fibers into sheets, it is possible to achieve both high productivity and excellent product performance.
