The foam form has the disadvantage of being prone to tearing and deformation due to its soft nature, in addition to the adhesion of dirt, and there was an issue with incomplete leakage prevention when stored horizontally. In the 'APE-cap', instead of relying on the curved outer surface of the gallon bottle's mouth for leak prevention, a leak prevention mechanism has been implemented on the straight section of the inner wall, significantly improving the reduction of water leakage when the bottle is stored horizontally.
