Free membership registrationWe received an inquiry from a customer asking, "I would like to make cross slits (cross cuts) in a resin board. Is it possible to manufacture this?" The customer also requested, "This time we will be making it as a prototype, so can you accommodate a single set?" We responded by manufacturing a "cross punch" that can process cross slits to the dimensions specified by the customer, along with the necessary jigs for processing. We explained our existing production capabilities for "carbide cross slit processing tools" and inquired about the customer's processing conditions and the equipment they intended to use during the slit processing. After determining that we could meet their desired shape, we provided a quote, and they subsequently placed an order. [Case Overview] - Production system that accommodates carbide machine tools from a single item - Flexible production system that can respond to customer requests in a timely manner - Manufacturing technology for carbide cross punches *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationThe other day, I visited a certain company in Nagoya City that contacted us after seeing our website. They primarily work with woodworking, and from the nature of their work, they often use "dowel drills." Their main concern was the "resharpening of dowel drills." They mentioned issues like "poor cutting performance" and "the holes becoming larger than the actual size of the drill during processing." Although our time was short, as we talked, I learned about various "problems" they were facing. By the way, when it comes to tools commonly used for drilling holes in various materials, many people likely think of "drills." *For more details, you can view the blog through the related links. Free membership registrationThe other day, we received an inquiry about finding a place to re-sharpen shear blades. The dimensions of the blade are "2060mm." Our sharpening machine, the "Toyo Blade Sharpening Machine," has a magnetic flat surface length of "2000mm"... which is not long enough... When we explained this to the customer, they said, "If you can somehow manage it, I would like you to do it," and with the customer's consent, we proceeded with the re-sharpening. At Obu Seiko, we have experience in re-sharpening shear blades several times, but this was our first time handling something this long. However, since the re-sharpened product was quite thick, we were able to manage the re-sharpening somehow. We are relieved to have been able to assist the customer. *For more details, you can view the blog through the related link. Please feel free to contact us for more information.

Free membership registrationThe main product of Ohfu Seiko is the "carbide jointer knife," particularly known as the "attached blade type." This jointer knife can be purchased without confusion regarding dimensions if the specifications, other than length, are standardized. However, due to the variety of dimensions provided by different machine manufacturers, this can be quite challenging. In past cases, there have been instances where customers communicated the thickness when ordering, but when actually mounted on the machine, it was too thick to fit, or too thin to close the block, etc. At our company, we have accumulated information from our customers and organized it so that we have details like "this machine manufacturer, this model has this dimension." Therefore, if we receive information about the machine being used, we can sometimes determine the dimensions of the cutting tool. *For more details, please refer to the related links on our blog. Feel free to contact us for further information.*

Free membership registrationThe other day, I was asked by a hardware store that has entrusted me with some grinding products, "Can the new white-coated chip saw from Makita be ground?" According to the hardware store, "I've heard it's quite good, but if it can't be ground after selling it, that would be a problem..." I looked at the brochure and replied on the spot, "Grinding itself is not an issue, but I'm concerned about the 'special coating' on the surface." I was worried about what it was like and whether it could actually be ground, so I purchased a sample through another route to check the condition of the coating (printing). It seems to be called "shark skin." *You can view the detailed content of the blog through the related links. For more information, please feel free to contact us.*

Free membership registrationOur main product is the "carbide jointer knife" with a detachable blade type. After silver brazing the carbide, warping inevitably occurs, but with our years of cultivated technology, we can finish it to a straight line. Additionally, by making the surface as smooth as possible, close to a mirror finish, we can enhance the quality of the blade edge. Utilizing the technology developed with this product, we manufacture a wide variety of industrial blades tailored to customer requests, including crushing blades and fixed blades with carbide brazing. 【Features】 ■ Straightness ■ Mirror finish on the carbide part ■ Production of seamless, single-piece blades exceeding 1000mm in length ■ Capable of processing for detachable blade types, such as engraving, tap holes, side slopes, and blade angle corrections *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationWe often receive the question from customers, "How many times can a cutting blade be sharpened?" In response, we say, "It depends on how you use it." If a customer uses the blade excessively, the wear on the cutting edge will increase, and the worn areas will need to be removed through resharpening. We perform resharpening of the blade through "proper sharpening," so the accumulated number of times it has been sharpened becomes the "proper sharpening count for the blade being used in that manner." [Results] - The number of times a blade can be resharpened varies significantly depending on how it is handled. - Our goal is to finish the blade with the minimum amount of sharpening, while assessing the wear on the cutting edge and minimizing the workload. - Excessive sharpening work ultimately reduces our work efficiency. *For more details, please refer to the external link page or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationA customer consulted us about wanting a "36.2mm outer diameter boring tool." On the spot, we checked the catalogs of several tool manufacturers. Indeed, there was no boring tool with the awkward outer diameter of "36.2mm." Therefore, we suggested, "If there is a standard stock item with an outer diameter of 37mm available from the manufacturer, we might be able to modify and grind it down to 36.2mm." We procured the tool, immediately carried out the outer diameter modification work and finishing grind, and completed the task. 【Solution】 ■ Modified and ground a standard stock item with an outer diameter of 37mm to the desired size. ■ It required reducing one side by 0.4mm, but we did not grind down to the base part (main body). ■ We were able to respond within three days. (One day for tool procurement, one day for modification work, and one day to deliver directly to the customer after completion.) *For more details, please refer to the external link page or feel free to contact us.
