Hydrogen sulfide was generated in the wastewater treatment facility at the fishing port, causing corrosion of the control panel in the nearby electrical room. Even though the entire electrical room was sealed to prevent hydrogen sulfide from entering, the concentration of hydrogen sulfide did not decrease sufficiently. According to the measurement results, the hydrogen sulfide concentration was 6 ppb, and there was an inquiry to reduce this to below 1 ppb. After installing a demo unit of our product "Coraline" and confirming its effectiveness, a purchase was made. At a certain geothermal power plant, the concentration of hydrogen sulfide in the surrounding area was high due to volcanic gases, so the power generation equipment was placed in a sealed enclosure. However, a phenomenon occurred where the concentration did not decrease below 11 ppb (*ppb = 1/1 billion). Since the customer was located far away, we provided consulting via phone and email (with attached drawings) and introduced a "Coraline" of suitable size for the enclosure. After the introduction, the customer conducted monitoring using copper plates themselves, and the results were reported to be good. A malfunction occurred in the electronic equipment attached to the production facilities at a certain chemical fiber factory, and we received a consultation regarding countermeasures. There was a smell of hydrogen sulfide in the area, and hydrogen sulfide was being generated at concentrations above a certain level. It was inferred that sulfuric acid, used in various processes at the factory, was the cause of the hydrogen sulfide generation. Since there were numerous sources of generation, it was judged that it would be difficult to implement countermeasures for all of them. Therefore, we shifted our approach to "protect only the electronic equipment directly related to production, regardless of where it is generated," and implemented a countermeasure by installing small "Coraline" devices in each control panel. At a certain chemical product factory, the equipment (measuring devices) in the wastewater quality measurement room malfunctioned, and hydrogen sulfide was recognized as the cause. After this incident, we received inquiries about hydrogen sulfide countermeasures through word of mouth. We first conducted hydrogen sulfide measurements and confirmed levels of 6 to 30 ppb (*ppb = parts per billion). A major paper manufacturing company experienced significant damage due to a long-term shutdown of the production line caused by electronic equipment malfunctions. From this experience, they focused on measures against hydrogen sulfide.
