Our company performs a low-temperature quenching method called 'L-TEQ' (low-temperature quenching), which involves diffusing nitrogen into the surface of steel and applying quenching at temperatures below the A1 transformation point of 730°C, transforming only the surface layer into martensitic structure. This treatment results in less deformation of the processed parts compared to carburizing treatment, and a thicker hardened layer is obtained compared to nitriding treatment. Therefore, it aims to reduce deformation and dimensional changes caused by the treatment, while improving wear resistance, surface pressure strength, and fatigue resistance, making it a noteworthy surface hardening and strengthening heat treatment method. The surface hardness is targeted at HV700 to 800, with an effective activation depth of 0.05 to 0.3 mm.
