The "Purpose-Specific Problem Solving Program" that thinks in terms of "functions" is a systematic approach to rationally, creatively, and efficiently consider the challenges (objectives) that should be addressed in the product development process. To facilitate the easy implementation of this program and support its internal deployment and establishment, we provide the software tool "iQUAVIS IDEA Package," which corresponds to the workflow of each program. This allows for the efficient resolution of various challenges in the product development process, and furthermore, it enables organizations to move away from individual dependency on "thinking and ideation skills" and work towards an organizational enhancement of problem-solving capabilities. 【Benefits of Thinking in Terms of Functions】 ■ Simplifies problems ■ Understands the purpose of the system's existence and customer expectations ■ Allows for a multifaceted and comprehensive examination of the system's functions *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationTRIZ (Theory of Inventive Problem Solving), QFD (Quality Function Deployment), and Taguchi Method (TM: Quality Engineering) support attractive and innovative product development through the collaborative use of these proven development methodologies. This is the unique feature of IDEA's development methodology solution. Each individual method is very powerful, but when looking at the entire flow from planning to development to design of new products, relying on just one method is not sufficient. However, by integrating the three methods of QFD, TRIZ, and Taguchi Method (TM), we can efficiently advance the process of "planning and concept → problem solving → reliability design" in product development in a rational and systematic manner. 【Three Methods】 ■ QFD: Identify a solid development concept that captures customer needs ■ TRIZ: Solve technical challenges to realize the development concept without compromise ■ TM: Rapidly materialize new technologies and bring products to market *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationThe parameter design of the Taguchi Method (TM) is a design approach aimed at ensuring the stability of a product's basic functions during the design phase, so that it does not experience defects in the market. There are various types of noise (internal disturbances and external disturbances) that can affect a product's functionality, such as variations in manufacturing process conditions, aging of the product, and differences in the conditions and environments in which the product is used. Such noise always exists. Therefore, it is better to incorporate the presence of noise into the design from the beginning, ensuring that the product functions stably even in the presence of noise. This leads to product designs that excel in noise resistance. That is the parameter design of the Taguchi Method. **Features** - A two-stage design method that reduces variation before aligning with target values. - Uses the S/N (Signal/Noise) ratio as a measure to evaluate noise resistance. - Incorporates variations in noise conditions, which are the source of variation, from the outset in experiments (or simulations). - Conducts experiments and evaluations by assigning multiple design parameters at once using "orthogonal arrays." *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.*

Free membership registrationTRIZ is a theory of innovative problem solving that originated in Russia (formerly the Soviet Union). Based on a statistical analysis of a vast amount of patent literature, it systematizes the focal points and thought processes for innovative problem solving. The term TRIZ comes from the initial letters of four Russian words that mean "Theory of Inventive Problem Solving" (Teoriya Resheniya Izobretatelskikh Zadach). This page provides an explanation of TRIZ. For more detailed information, please refer to the related links. We encourage you to read it. [Contents] ■ The birth and development of TRIZ ■ How does TRIZ differ from other brainstorming methods? ■ The introduction of TRIZ to Japan, its stagnation, and Japan's unique evolution (TRIZ's "Japanese-style utilization") ■ What is TRIZ's "Japanese-style utilization"? ■ Corporate case studies of innovative product and technology development and new business creation using TRIZ ■ Serial column "What is TRIZ?" (Part 1) *For more details, please refer to the related links or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationQFD (Quality Function Deployment) is a systematic development methodology solution from IDEA, serving as the entry point process. To develop products that are attractive to customers and clearly differentiated from competitors, we consider "what needs to be addressed and what customer value should be proposed" and "what are the development specifications and technical challenges necessary to realize that value," using systematic processes and tools. Furthermore, bottleneck issues can be addressed rationally and creatively by utilizing TRIZ. QFD provides a practical and rational approach for product planning and development design departments engaged in new product development, as well as for advanced development departments that want to incorporate technologies that anticipate market needs, enabling them to continuously create outstanding products and technologies. **Three Gaps in the Planning Stage of Development** - Gap between customer needs and product concepts - Gap between product planning and development specifications - Gap between development goals and technical challenges *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.*
