Since around 2009, we have conducted social experiments on standalone micro-hydropower generation in collaboration with local governments and consulting companies, optimizing the Takao Eris Power Station in Niimi City, Okayama Prefecture, which has been in operation since March 2016. We started coordinated operations in Minami-Uonuma City, Niigata Prefecture, from December 2024. The turbine was developed in collaboration with Nagasaki University and Nishinihon Fluid Technology Co., Ltd.

Free membership registrationEven with fluctuations in flow, stable power generation is possible. Maintenance is easy (measures against debris are straightforward). Fish passages can be secured, allowing for consideration of biodiversity. Additionally, since it effectively utilizes flow velocity, there is minimal waste of energy, and the risk of overflow is extremely low.

Free membership registrationSustainable decentralized energy suitable for the natural environment WaterWeco® can generate stable power with minimal fluctuations through its unique patented mechanism, day and night, throughout the year. This initiative involves installing water wheels in agricultural and industrial waterways scattered across various regions to effectively utilize natural energy. By conducting repeated demonstration experiments with numerous municipalities, universities, and research institutions, we mainly handle systems ranging from a few watts to 20 kW per unit. In wide waterways, it is possible to increase power generation by increasing the number of units through parallel installation. Since the mechanism does not negate the kinetic energy of water with weirs or similar structures, it can be directly transmitted to the water wheel (the risk of overflow is also extremely low). Additionally, it is possible to ensure fish passages that consider biodiversity (though this requires prior ecological understanding and consultation with experts, depending on the species).

Free membership registrationWaterWeco® can generate stable power with minimal fluctuations day and night, thanks to its unique patented mechanism. It is an initiative to effectively utilize natural energy by installing water wheels in small rivers and waterways scattered across various regions. Through repeated demonstration experiments with numerous municipalities, universities, and research institutions, it has been improved to generate power efficiently even with low head. It mainly handles systems in the tens of kW range. (Note: Power generation can be increased through parallel installation.) 【Features】 ■ Stable power generation with minimal fluctuations day and night, thanks to the unique mechanism ■ Equipment utilization rate 5 to 8 times higher than solar power generation ■ Can be commercialized at a higher selling price than solar power generation when utilizing FIT ■ Approximately 170,000 kW of potential in agricultural waterways (within Japan) ■ Lower environmental impact compared to large-scale hydropower ■ Easy debris management due to the unique mechanism ■ Maximum utilization of flow velocity with an extremely low risk of overflow, thanks to the unique mechanism ■ High power generation efficiency due to the unique turbine ■ Ability to secure fish passages and consider biodiversity due to the unique mechanism *For more details, please feel free to contact us.
