However, due to persistent issues with communication conditions, it has been difficult to select and remove trees appropriately. By conducting efficient surveys with drones and creating 3D models from the obtained photographic data, it is possible to identify obstruction trees on a one-by-one basis by overlaying this data with visualized microwave propagation paths. Furthermore, by simulating tree growth in 3D, it is possible to identify trees that will obstruct radio waves in the future on a one-by-one basis. As a result of drone-based obstruction tree surveys, identifying obstructive trees has eliminated the need for extensive logging, allowing for consideration of environmental impacts and achieving cost benefits of up to 50%.
