The Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry will issue the "Factory Security Guidelines," aimed at raising the security level of factory systems, as early as this autumn. Thinking "we should be fine" is already dangerous! Saying "I'll do it someday" is already too late! If there are insufficient measures in the supply chain companies, such as business partners and suppliers, it could impact your own company... PFU's Hira, an Information Security Support Specialist and Industrial Cybersecurity Expert, will clearly explain the outline of the guidelines and representative security measures. Additionally, we will introduce our services and products that support uninterrupted factory operations. ■ Program 1 Introduction to the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry's "Factory Security Guidelines" 2 The first step towards realizing the "Factory Security Guidelines"! Introduction to PFU services 3 Introduction to the iNetSec FC, a device for visualizing equipment/network 4 Q&A

Free membership registrationWe exhibited our factory equipment/network visualization device "iNetSec FC" at the "Embedded/Edge Computing Expo (ESEC)" held at Tokyo Big Sight from April 6 to 8, 2022. We heard the following comments from visitors: "We are advancing the introduction of DX and IoT, but the number of devices and networks keeps increasing. Until now, we have managed them manually, but we can't keep up with the updates." "The person in charge of managing the factory network has retired, and I have decided to take over this year. The predecessor managed it alone for many years, so it has become a black box." To improve factory productivity and achieve a non-stop factory, it is crucial to prevent equipment and network troubles in advance and to respond immediately when issues arise. The first step in this process is to understand the current situation of the increasing number of devices and the complex network in the factory, which means "visualization." By using iNetSec FC, even in production sites without network expertise, you can visualize devices and networks simply by connecting them, allowing for quick troubleshooting. Free membership registrationIn recent years, there has been increasing attention on smart factories, but the foundation for this is the sensors and networks used to collect various types of data. However, in factories that have been engaged in "Kaizen" for many years, it is not uncommon to find a mix of various network devices, and the situation is often not well understood. To address these challenges, PFU has developed and launched "iNetSec FC," which visualizes devices and networks. In this interview article, the developer shares their thoughts on solving the challenges faced in factory settings, along with an overview of the product. *For more details, please refer to the "Related Links" below.*
