Total Materia AG will be exhibiting at the 20th CAE Forum on Automotive Technology 2026, a collaborative industry-academia forum held in Ochanomizu, Tokyo on February 16-17. We will introduce our initiatives for design and analysis support utilizing our material data to address challenges in the automotive industry, such as streamlining the design process, pursuing reliability, and responding to carbon neutrality. Additionally, on the 17th, we will hold a lunch presentation titled "The Story of Materials That Make Lunch Taste Better (?)." We will explain how materials influence product performance, reliability, and lifecycle. This exhibition is aimed at engineers involved in design, analysis, and material selection. We encourage you to register in advance and participate. We look forward to seeing you there.

The selection of materials has a significant impact on product performance, delivery times, and costs. However, in the design and development field, it is not uncommon for a lot of time to be spent on data comparison and condition adjustments. For example: - Manually comparing material data sheets of different formats - Needing to reconsider costs and environmental impacts after meeting performance criteria - Remaining uncertainty about whether there might be more suitable materials available Optimizer is a new selection support module developed to address these challenges in material selection. It considers multiple conditions such as performance, cost, regulations, and environmental impact simultaneously, using material data from around the world, and automatically derives the "optimal balance" for the requirements. Additionally, through scoring and graphical representation, it visualizes the trade-off factors for each material, making the basis for decisions clear. Optimizer supports both the efficiency of material selection tasks and the improvement of design quality simultaneously.
