There are presentation models that express the exterior and specifications of a building, models for displaying the completed form of the building, and study models for verifying the design details. On the other hand, there are also cases where models are created to preserve the appearance of buildings that are scheduled for demolition or have already been demolished.

By combining miniature figures and buildings with the surrounding environment and scenery, we express cities and natural environments in a three-dimensional way. We can depict various scenes such as old townscapes, daily life, pre-construction apartments and their surroundings, as well as three-dimensional maps installed in theme parks and tourist facilities, creating a unique worldview that only models can offer.

It can be mainly used for explanations to stakeholders and permanent exhibitions. Having the actual object in front of you adds realism and increases persuasiveness compared to CG or graphics. For example, it is effective to convey the depth and expanse of terrain that is difficult to understand in a flat plan, or to visualize the relationship between the environment and disasters using models.

If it is not possible to verify with the actual object from the beginning, effective experimental results can be obtained by using models. By making adjustments based on the results, we eventually proceed to experiments with the actual object. Additionally, there are ways to utilize models, such as verifying how snow accumulates on the model in snow accumulation experiments and designing vehicles based on those results.
