On May 20, 2025 (Tuesday) at 1:30 PM, a press conference will be held at the Shabondama Soap Factory in Kitakyushu. Qsol Corporation (Headquarters: Fukuoka City, Fukuoka Prefecture, President: Ken Hiroto) and Shabondama Soap Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Kitakyushu City, Fukuoka Prefecture, President: Hayato Morita) will report the results of their joint research on smart factory initiatives that have been conducted since April 2023. Qsol and Shabondama Soap have been engaged in demonstration experiments and joint research utilizing AI, IoT, and wearable devices to improve productivity and product quality. As a result, they have achieved data collection to preserve the skilled craftsmanship that Shabondama Soap has maintained, as well as reductions in employee labor hours and electricity costs. At this press conference, we will explain the outcomes of these efforts and future prospects. Demonstrations of research technologies utilizing AI and IoT will be conducted, and you will have the opportunity to cover and photograph the progress towards smart factory implementation. *Smart factories are those that can operate appropriately based on various data collected using technologies such as AI and IoT.
