MIM is read as "Mimu" and is an abbreviation for Metal Injection Molding. It is a manufacturing method that obtains product shapes by injecting a mixture of resin and metal powder using an injection molding machine. This method allows for the use of machines typically used for resin injection molding, enabling the mass production of extremely small and complex-shaped metal parts in a single molding process. Originally a technology developed in the United States, it has spread in Japan and is now also produced in countries such as India, China, and Taiwan. Due to its excellent characteristics, its adoption is expanding in medical devices, automotive parts, machine components, and electronic parts. Our company primarily manufactures using iron, tool steel, and stainless steel. We achieve low costs by in-house designing and manufacturing molds. We also ensure short delivery times by transporting products by air.

Die casting refers to a technology for creating products by pouring metal into a specific mold and cooling it to solidify. For example, the small bodies of toy cars that children often play with are made using die casting technology. A simple analogy would be similar to making ice pops, where juice is poured into an ice mold and frozen. Just as the juice solidifies into the shape of the mold, in die casting, the metal solidifies into the shape of the mold. ■Features of Die Casting Our company performs die casting using two types of materials: zinc and aluminum. The melting temperature of aluminum is between 670°C and 760°C, while zinc has a lower melting temperature of 420°C to 450°C. This allows for production using a high-productivity device known as a hot chamber, which is a significant advantage in terms of cost. ■Mold Lifespan Aluminum: 50,000 to 100,000 shots Zinc: 1,000,000 to 1,500,000 shots Simple molds: 10,000 to 20,000 shots ■Casting Defects in Die Casting Air entrapment can lead to the formation of voids or gaps known as casting defects. Surface-visible defects can be removed through visual inspection, but hidden internal defects are difficult to detect. During processes such as cutting, polishing, shot blasting, and post-processing like painting or plating, previously invisible defects may become apparent. When die casting manufacturing and post-processing are conducted by separate companies, this can often manifest as yield and unnecessary cost issues. Our company offers a one-stop integrated production process from manufacturing to post-processing and surface treatment, ensuring that our customers do not face issues related to this problem.
