Until now, we have provided FPGA control applications for Windows, but with Prime Systems adopting products that use the Raspberry Pi CM4 (Compute Module), we have started a service to create GUI applications that run on Linux/Raspberry Pi. Applications with GUI can be created for embedded devices using touch panel LCDs and compatible products like the Raspberry Pi CM4 or Rock CM3. Additionally, we can also support PCs that incorporate Linux OS such as Ubuntu 20.04, not just Raspberry Pi. We have created the Linux version of RefApp7, known as RefAppQt, which was previously only available for Windows from Prime Systems. It can be downloaded for free from our website.

This board is equipped with a Kintex7 series FPGA and DDR, and is designed to connect numerous expansion boards via the FMC connector. In addition to designing the FPGA board, we also provide drivers for Linux and sample programs that allow access to the FPGA's functions.

Free membership registrationGroove Design Services also conducts circuit design for FPGA boards manufactured by HumanData. HumanData only provides FPGA boards and does not offer FPGA design services. Even when using these FPGA boards, it is possible to perform FPGA circuit design without any issues. The FPGA boards from HumanData are generally relatively small-sized boards with smaller circuit scales. If a simple circuit is sufficient, these boards may be more cost-effective. Groove Design Services does not primarily sell FPGA boards, so we can basically accommodate any FPGA board.

The FPGA boards are equipped with two 120-pin high-speed connectors capable of inputting and outputting numerous high-speed signals; however, they cannot be directly connected to the devices users want to connect. Therefore, we design boards that convert to suitable connectors for connection and add ICs that supplement functions not included on the FPGA boards. We can provide these in small quantities.

Free membership registrationGroove Design Services provides the design of dedicated applications to make products using Prime Systems' FPGA boards more user-friendly. The board connects to a PC via USB 3.0 or USB 2.0 and comes with sample applications that allow easy access to the FPGA from a Windows PC. However, having a dedicated application greatly enhances usability. By using the drivers and APIs included with the FPGA board purchase, a control application that can control the FPGA can be created relatively quickly using C#/WPF. Providing a dedicated GUI improves usability and allows for the display of measured data. There are many instances of requests for FPGA design along with this service.
