We would like to introduce the self-inspection of rooftop greening conducted in the Tokyo sales office area in the fall of 2020, along with photos. Many plants reach their growth period in spring and autumn. We would like to introduce the bird damage prevention measures for the thin-layer tray-type rooftop greening system, for which we obtained a utility model in May 2023. The bird damage prevention measures we are introducing are optional components of the thin-layer tray-type rooftop greening system. It includes a bird damage prevention net and creates space to prevent birds from landing on the planting area of the rooftop greening. The materials used to create space for deploying the bird damage prevention net in the planting area are the bird damage prevention net, wire, and L-shaped brackets for securing it. The construction method is suitable for the standard thin-layer tray rooftop greening system. Bird damage prevention can be installed according to our usual construction method. After laying out the trays with 500mm square planting areas, L-shaped brackets are installed on top of the securing brackets that hold the trays in place. There is a hole at the top of the L-shaped brackets. A wire is threaded through this hole and stretched around the perimeter. This ensures that even when the net is placed over the rooftop greening, space is maintained. In 2019, a large typhoon struck Chiba Prefecture. In September of the same year, I visited several properties where we had delivered and installed work in Chiba Prefecture for a self-inspection. Self-inspections were conducted at Store A, Store B, and Store C, all of which have metal roofs. First of all, I heard that maintenance had hardly been performed, yet the condition of the rooftop greenery at each property was good. We also conducted a self-inspection to check for any issues with the installation of the thin-layer tray-type rooftop greening system. The inspection results showed no problems. Before conducting the self-inspection, I was particularly concerned about Store A, which we had delivered and installed in 2010, as the number of years since installation crossed my mind. It has been nine years since then. The plants have been growing and declining with the seasons on the rooftop, spreading their unchanging greenery towards the sky. The fixtures that secure them continue to support the planting trays without change. Our rooftop greening system is a non-irrigation system compatible with various metal roofs. We would like to introduce a case study of wall greening. The example we are presenting is from a certain high school in Hyogo Prefecture. The seedlings used for this project were sent in accordance with the renewal concept of "inheritance of history and tradition," utilizing the ivy from the outer wall of Hanshin Koshien Stadium. We undertake wall greening in line with the concept. We received the thoughts embedded in the wall greening and supported everything from the greening plan to the construction. High-quality products are achieved through repeated production, construction, and maintenance cultivated through rooftop greening. Additionally, having staff with knowledge of planting and staff with architectural qualifications as the core of our integrated system is one of our strengths. Seven years have passed since the construction. The wall greening that conveys "inheritance of history and tradition" is visible to those who visit. The effects of greening walls are diverse. The school, as a hub of the local community, is colored by soothing greenery.
