"TL-SENSING" is an ultra-thin, low-cost heat flux sensor. When you place your finger on the sensor, it detects heat in less than 0.01 seconds and visualizes the movement of heat. The dimensions are 20×20×0.5mm for the substrate, and the element circuit has a meander structure, with Kapton tape used for surface protection. "TL-SENSING" is a thermal flux sensor developed by the University of Tokyo that aims to solve global thermal challenges with topological materials. It features a thin film structure that is 1/1000 the size of conventional sensors, allowing for high shape flexibility. This product is expected to be utilized in various applications, including abnormal detection and failure prediction for batteries and power semiconductor components, as well as devices for controlling thermal comfort in body temperature, vehicles, and indoor environments. We are developing thermal flow sensors using topological materials. Topological materials possess unique electronic structures that have not been seen in conventional materials, enabling device characteristics that respond quickly and sensitively to heat. Additionally, we are developing demo thermal flux sensors for joint research and development, which can be loaned to companies considering collaborative development.
